Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse and Rosalind Productions Inc. present a live online benefit play reading of CRUMBS FROM THE TABLE OF JOY by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, to raise money for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
MJ Bruder Munafo of Martha's Vineyard Playhouse said virtual Monday night specials at the Playhouse will focus on reading plays that deal with racism and fighting institutional racism.
Last month, the theater organization launched a series of five-minute plays, gathered from a call to writers that was put out in March through the Playhouse’s newsletter.

“Lee’s mark on the island is indelible, she touched many lives over many years,” agreed MJ Munafo, artistic director at Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse, also in Vineyard Haven. “We will mourn her and miss her,” she said in an email.
