Donald Nitchie
Donald Nitchie lives in Chilmark and works as an editor. His poetry collection Driving Lessons was published in 2008. His poetry has been published in local periodicals. He occasionally leads Poetry Drop-In sessions that consist of in-class writing assignments and hopes to do more of them in 2019.
Marlan Sigelman
Marlan Sigelman is a writer and archivist whose work has been published in Prelude, Queen Mobs Tea House, Flag and Void, and elsewhere. Marian co-facilitates the Contemporary Poetry Book Club at the Chilmark Free Public Library.
Spencer Thurlow
Spencer Thurlow is a poet and a writer and current Poet Laureate of West Tisbury. His most recent co-translated work, Sonic Peace, by Kiriu Minashita, was published by Phoneme Media in 2017 and shortlisted for the National Translation Award and the Lucien Stryk Asian Translation Prize.. He continues to translate Japanese poetry. His poetry or translations have appeared in numerous journals, notably World Literature Today, Cincinnati Review, Comstock Review, The Worcester Review, Pudding Magazine and The Aurorean. He was a featured poet at the Mass. Poetry festival in 2013 and received a grant to study and write about tourism from the Kratz Center for Creative Writing in 2010 after graduating from Goucher College in Baltimore. He returned to the US in August 2017 after spending nearly four years living in Kochi, Japan.
Jennifer Tseng
Jennifer Tseng is the author of three award-winning poetry collections, a collection of flash fiction, The Passion of Woo & Isolde, a Firecracker Award finalist and the winner of an Eric Hoffer Book Award, and a novel, Mayurni & the Sea of Happiness, finalist for the PEN American Center’s Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction and the New England Book Award. She is a visiting Core Faculty member of OSU Cascades’ Low Residency MFA program and teaches for the Fine Arts Work Center’s online writing program, 24PearlSt.
