Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse and Rosalind Productions Inc. presented a live online benefit play reading of CRUMBS FROM THE TABLE OF JOY by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, to raise money for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Over $3,000 was raised! The reading reunited the original cast, and director Adrienne D. Williams, of MV Playhouse’s acclaimed 2016 production of this beautiful memory play, set in 1950 Brooklyn where Ernestine Crump and her family are divinely led to begin their new life.

Lynn's Pulitzer Prize-winning play RUINED has received an Obie, the Lucille Lortel Award, New York Drama Critics' Circle Award, Drama Desk Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Play (Manhattan Theatre Club, Goodman Theatre). DANIELLE HOPKINS (Ermina Crump)
Danielle is a senior at Barnard College majoring in American History and minoring in Spanish. She has continued to pursue theatre throughout her time at Barnard being a part of the Columbia University Black Theatre Ensemble executive board and performing in productions with other theatre groups. Last year she played Titania in the King Crowns Shakespeare Troops production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and played Myrtle in the Great Gatsby the previous fall. She also performed in the senior thesis festival in the production of Pool (No Water). She is so grateful to be a part of this zoom reading of Crumbs from the Table of Joy and can't wait to see how it turns out!

Elijah is a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
