Artist Statement
This show is a compilation of different subject matters called “Vineyard Retrospective” including Silhouettes, Vineyard Light, “Painterly” photos, the Moon, Grasses, Nature/Wildlife, Sunrises, Sunsets, Lifeguard stands and even our “goofy” Gordon Setter, Rufus, and his buddy Mr. Horse!
Thank you to M.J. for giving me this opportunity (for the 3rd time!) and to Paul Munafo for always doing such a masterful job, hanging my photographs! I am honored grateful to have this opportunity!

Paul Doherty

About the artist:
Prior to moving full time to Martha’s Vineyard, Paul had been a professional actor for almost 30 years, working in film television, radio and theatre. His interest in photography came after moving to M.V. He currently serves as Vice President of Vineyard Village at Home as well as one of their volunteer drivers, and is a member of the Mass Cultural Council, representing West Tisbury. Paul is also a member of the Peter Luce Playreaders and is an active member of the 1st Congregational Church of West Tisbury.
