Michael G. West, graduate of Williams College and the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars, is a published poet and the author of six novels, including the Tommy Shakespear Mystery series, the Martha’s Vineyard EcoThrillers, and his most recent, The Five Headed Dragon. He lives year-round on Martha’s Vineyard.
Ellie Bates
Ellie Bates lives year round in Edgartown and is a member of the MV Poets’ Collective and the Cleaveland House Poets. Her recent Chapbook, Seasonal Wonderings: Poems for Sumer Fall Winter Spring was published last year by Kelsay Books.
Jill Jupen
Jill Jupen is the Poet Laureate of Martha’s Vineyard. She is currently working on a book on how the French poets influenced Bob Dylan’s writing.
Julia Kidd
Julia Kidd is a psychotherapist and writer who lives and works on Martha’s Vineyard. Her work can be both biting and humorous. Through poetry and prose her personal stories connect us to common experiences and each other.
Spencer Thurlow
Spencer Thurlow is a poet and translator. He grew up on the Vineyard and was Poet Laureate of West Tisbury from 2018-2022. His most recent translation with Eric E. Hyett, Is It Poetry? was published in January 2024.
Sian Williams
Sian Williams, native of the UK, has been a lifetime writer of poetry and prose. Sian published an anthology of poetry and a novel, Stonehouse. She has lived year round on Martha’s Vineyard for 35 years.
