A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Kamryn lives on Martha’s Vineyard and has a passion for the performing arts. She has been dancing for 10 years and has been involved with her local theater companies. She is a dancer, actress, model and also takes voice lessons. Kamryn will be attending the Cambridge School of Weston this fall as a freshman.
Hallie previously appeared with MV Playhouse as Lady MacDuff and others in MACBETH and Emilia/Shepherd in THE WINTER’S TALE. Hallie has appeared Off-Broadway, regionally, on cruise ships, and in the Broadway National Tour of A BRONX TALE. She holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Emerson College. Simone was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard. She discovered her love for theater during THE FOURTH GRADE THEATER PROJECT and has continued to perform since. Currently, she is a rising junior at the University of Connecticut. Along with being a cast member, she is also an intern at the Playhouse.
Shylo is making his Playhouse debut and return to the stage for the first time since high school. He is originally from Nashville and just moved to the island in June.
Madeline is filled with gratitude to be on the Amphitheater stage playing her dream role, after serving as a summer intern, a Fabulists fixture, and a Summer Stars camp counselor over the past 3 years with MV Playhouse. Previous theatrical credits include CRY INNOCENT: THE PEOPLE VS BRIDGIT BISHOP, STEEL MAGNOLIAS, CHILDREN OF EDEN, and INTO THE WOODS. Dillon is a rising sophomore at Falmouth Academy. He acted in two school plays over the past year and is happy to be back on stage for the summer. He enjoys sailing, and his two vizslas (dogs); Rusty, 6 years old, and Cleo, 14 weeks old.
Fiona is making her debut in the amphitheater as a woodsprite. She is excited to be performing again and was last seen on stage as Nala in the OB School production of THE LION KING when she was in 8th grade. She is looking forward to attending UMaine this fall after taking a gap year.
Emily is an MV local. She has been involved with Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse theatre and summer programs for many years. This will be the third show at the amphitheater after JULIUS CAESAR (2017) and HAMLET (2018). She is currently studying music and the performing arts at Bridgewater State University, with a concentration in opera.
LAURA C. JAHN (Starveling)
Laura has been a year-round Vineyard Haven resident since washing ashore in 1991. Aside from her work at the Playhouse box office, Laura made her stage debut in 2019's OUR TOWN and wrote her first original play, 2020 VISION, for the Playhouse's 12 x '20 Play Project.
Jason is a rising freshman at MVRHS and a recent graduate of the West Tisbury School, where he played Nikko the Flying Monkey in the school’s rendition of WIZARD OF OZ. Jason is excited to perform with the awesome cast of A MIDSUMMERS NIGHT'S DREAM at the iconic Tisbury Amphitheater!
Gene is a retired dispensing, clinical, administrative hospital pharmacist. Former Director of Pharmacy at Boston City Hospital and ‘mostly’ retired civil litigation attorney. Former PIC [Pharmacist In Charge] of a voluntary charitable pharmacy in NH. Former adjunct faculty at Daniel Webster College and NHCTC in New Hampshire. MV Tour bus driver, author, downhill skier and sailor and wannabe guitarist, pianist, sketch artist and painter.
Scarlet Snow Johnson first studied acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts many decades ago. She now enjoys jumping up on stage when the opportunity presents itself and is so grateful to be performing this evening in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM.
MALIKA KHELALFA (Peaseblossom)
Malika is happy to be returning to the amphitheater where she played the changeling child as her first ever role when she was 3. She played Gerta in THE SNOW QUEEN. She’s also participated in Summer Stars Theater Arts Camp at the Playhouse since she was 7.
Tain Leonard-Peck is a writer, actor, painter, and competitive sailor, skier, and fencer. He is the Poet Laureate for West Tisbury. He’s involved in community organizing, sustainable energy use, and promoting access to literature. He won #ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence, the MVICW Poetry Fellowship, and appeared in ASTEP, among other credits.
JONAH LIPSKY (Demetrius)
Jonah Lipsky is delighted to act in the Dream once again. He has appeared on the amphitheater stage as: Horatio (HAMLET), Prince Hal (HENRY IV PT. 1), and several roles in MACBETH. He also appeared in ROMEO AND JULIET (Peter) and twice in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Flute & Demetrius).
Shana is excited to be making her Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse debut. She is returning to the stage after a more than 20-year hiatus. She currently works as an attorney for the US Department of Education. Shana would like to thank Jason, Lucy, her family, and friends for their support.
This is Ingrid’s first production with Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse. She is excited to be playing Hermia in her favorite Shakespeare play. Ingrid is a recent graduate of MVRHS where she was in many shows, her favorite being LES MISÉRABLES where she played Thenardier. Ingrid will be attending Yale in August.
Augie recently graduated from college with a degree in computer engineering and decided to put it to good use by performing in a Shakespeare show. He would like to thank Dionysus for guiding him at every turn.
Xavier is thrilled to be playing Oberon. He was last seen at the amphitheater exiting, pursued by a bear, as Antigonus in 2019’s THE WINTER’S TALE and appeared as Simon Stimson in OUR TOWN at the Playhouse that same year. He’s a Shakespeare for the Masses regular and has also acted in site-specific performances by Abby Bender and Jesse Jason.
Katherine is an island native and has been playing and working with MV Playhouse since age 8. She directs the children's programming including Summer Stars Children's Theater Camp and The Fabulists: Theater for Children Troupe. Favorite Playhouse roles include Juliet (ROMEO & JULIET), Queen Anne (THREE MUSKETEERS), Don Jon (MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING), Emily Webb (OUR TOWN), and Assistant Director (HAMLET and THE WINTER'S TALE).
Rose is 14 years old, born and raised on MV and about to enter the 9th grade at the MV Charter School. They appeared as the paper boy in the 2019 Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse production of OUR TOWN. They also appeared as the doorkeeper in the West Tisbury School production of the WIZARD OF OZ this past spring. Rose is thrilled to be on the amphitheater stage this summer as Mustardseed in A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM.
Lagan is delighted, ecstatic, and convivial to be back in the amphitheater. And, after MACBETH (Banquo) last year, a little relieved it is under less bloody circumstances.
Crystal is a recent graduate from MVRHS. She has been part of two high school musicals (AS YOU LIKE IT and BIG FISH) Both were directed by Brooke Hardman Ditchfield. This is her first show at the Amphitheater. She is very excited and happy to be part of this show. She is also thankful for this opportunity and wonderful experience!
George is a lawyer, musician, a radio DJ, and serves as the County of Dukes County Clerk of Courts. He made his theatrical debut at the Playhouse in OUR TOWN in 2019.
