When she moved to Martha's Vineyard in 2005 she was fortunate to be invited to join the Cleaveland House Poets. She has had the pleasure of participating in poetry readings at the MV Playhouse, Pathways Arts, and local libraries. Her poems have appeared in the MV Times, Rattle and two previous Cleaveland House Poetry books. She is a regular contributor to the MV Times, The Local, MV Arts and Ideas and read in the January 30 Covid Monologues MV. She owns Peaked Hill Studio, teaches biomechanical yoga and offers sound healing. Valerie lives in Chilmark with her husband, younger son and beloved dogs.
