Brooke Hardman Ditchfield (Director)
Brooke happily returns to the amphitheater after co-directing last year's production of HAMLET with Chelsea McCarthy. Other MV Playhouse credits include JULIUS CAESAR (Director), MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Benedick), TWO ROOMS, HENRY IV PARTS 1 & 2, and many performances as a member of SHAKESPEARE FOR THE MASSES. A Resident Acting Company Member and Associate Director at Boston’s Actors’ Shakespeare Project, her credits there include: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Beatrice/Music Director), AS YOU LIKE IT (Rosalind), CYMBELINE (Imogen), OTHELLO (Desdemona), PERICLES (Associate Director / Music Director), and TROILUS AND CRESSIDA (Cressida) and Henry VIII (Associate Director/Music Director) under the direction of Tina Packer. Other credits include appearances with Huntington Theatre Company, New Repertory Theatre, Steppenwolf, Court Theatre, Writer’s Theatre, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Brooke is the Co-Founder/Producer of New Writers/New Plays at Vineyard Arts Project. She currently runs the theatre department at MVRHS, where she has directed INTO THE WOODS, TWELFTH NIGHT, CHICAGO, GUYS AND DOLLS, WEST SIDE STORY, and AS YOU LIKE IT. Amy Sabin Barrow (Queen Hermionie)
Amy is enchanted to be performing this summer with her favorite theatre makers on the island’s most beautiful stage. Veteran amphitheater contributor for HAMLET (costumes), JULIUS CAESAR (Brutus), HENRY IV (costumes), THE COMEDY OF ERRORS (Abbess), AS YOU LIKE IT (Rosalind) and THE TEMPEST (Ariel). Nolan Burke (Polixenes)
Nolan is a New York-based EMC and SAG-AFTRA actor, currently working in television and on the stage. Recent projects include the RAGTIME on Ellis Island Sound Workshop with Telsey & Co., New Dogs Old Tricks, currently streaming on Amazon Prime, and LOMBARDI at Savannah Repertory Theatre in Savannah, GA. Nolan is a graduate of Hunter College CUNY and received his conservatory training at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Thank you to Hilary, Mom, Maria, Dad, and Olive!
Hallie Brevetti (Emilia/Shepardess)

Violet Cabot (Stage Manager)
Violet is excited to be stage managing her first production with the Playhouse! She has been stage managing for the MVRHS winter production for the past three years (GUYS AND DOLLS, WEST SIDE STORY, and AS YOU LIKE IT), and worked backstage on CHICAGO and INTO THE WOODS. Violet is going to be a senior at MVRHS this year. She wants to thank Brooke and MJ for giving her the opportunity to work on this show!
Anne Culbert (Servant/Lady-In-Waiting)
Anne is a high school senior and wants to go on to study theater. She has been in the MVRHS musicals and has developed a love for Shakespeare. Brooke is her theater teacher at school and the director of the musicals, so she had a connection to these shows before she started. This is her first Outdoor Shakespeare show, so it’s fun and enlightening to experience a play with friends outside of school. Although, this is not her first time being cast as a large animal’s front left leg.
Meghan Delphous (Perdita)
Meghan is so happy and ecstatic about be in her first show ever at the amphitheater! So thrilled to have worked with all these great people and hope to continue. Credits include: High school play CHICAGO (ensemble), WEST SIDE STORY (Estella), AS YOU LIKE IT (Celia), Minnesingers (Alto Section Leader), WIZARD OF OZ (ensemble). Incoming Freshman to UMass Boston to study theater.
Sara DiPasquale (Mopsa)
Sara is delighted to be making her Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse acting debut! Since Graduating from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) in April 2018, Sara has been busy auditioning, taking classes and acting in various short films in New York City. Sara studied acting at The Academy but continues to pursue her passion of singing and musical theatre. Sara’s recent credits include SCENES FROM THE STATEN ISLAND FERRY at Sundog Theatre, FIVE WOMEN at NYTF, IN THE NEXT ROOM OR THE VIBRATOR PLAY, and CORIOLANUS at AADA. Sara would like to thank everyone involved at MVP for giving her this amazing opportunity and making this experience so memorable!
Curtis Fisher (Jailer/Forizell)
Curtis Fisher, a 2019 Vineyard Vision Fellow, is a 2018 MVRHS graduate currently finishing up a gap year before attending the honors program at Northeastern in the fall where he will be studying Environmental Science and Computer Science. During the gap year he has been performing in his church choir, the Martha's Vineyard bell choir, Island Community Chorus, running his own consulting agency, acting as the Jester in ITW's production of ONCE UPON A MATTRESS in addition to acting as Florizell in Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse's production of Shakespeare's THE WINTER’S TALE, working with the Great Pond Foundation to enhance their water quality testing program, and traveling and road tripping across the United States in between. In high school, among other things, Curtis performed as Tony in WEST SIDE STORY, worked as the photography and web editor on the school newspaper, served as a leader of the SoundWave acapella group, was an integral member of the MVironment Club, and the Minnesingers, played in the Bell Choir and won science awards from a variety of local, regional, state, and national organizations.
Jonah Lipsky (Music Director)
Jonah has directed music for the amphitheater Shakespeare shows for the past two seasons. He has acted in many amphitheater Shakespeare shows over the years, including: HENRY IV PART I (Hal), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Demetrius, Flute/Thisbe), ROMEO AND JULIET (Servant), and most recently HAMLET (Horatio). He's delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with this talented group of artists. He lives in Brooklyn and has a day job as a software engineer.
Chelsea McCarthy (Paulina)
Chelsea is thrilled to be back in the amphitheater after appearing in (as Rosencrantz) and co-directing (with Brooke Hardman Ditchfield!) last summer's HAMLET. Chelsea is co-creator/co-writer/co-director (with Nicole Galland!) of the MV Playhouse's immensely popular, award-winning SHAKESPEARE FOR THE MASSES. Favorite roles include: Cassius (JULIUS CAESAR), Henry IV (HENRY IV), Kate (TAMING OF THE SHREW), Hattie (LAUNDRY AND BOURBON), Celia (AS YOU LIKE IT), Emilia (THE OTHELLO PROJECT), Mom (MY MOM IS TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE), Louise/Gypsy (GYPSY). Chelsea is a 2003 graduate of Dell 'Arte International School of Physical Theater, a veteran Saturday morning Fabulist & resident costumer for the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School's Drama Department and Minnesingers. Love, gratitude, and eternal worship to the amazing Brooke, the truly tremendous Amy & Mac and our astounding cast & crew! Love & thanks forever to my husband Patrick, Paige, Mom, Dad, Kate & Jim.
Josephine Orr (Dorcas)
Josephine is thrilled to be in their first production at the amphitheater. They just graduated from MVRHS, where Brooke directed them in many shows including GUYS AND DOLLS, WEST SIDE STORY (Velma), AS YOU LIKE IT (Jacques), and THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE ABRIDGED (Daniel). They will be attending Wagner College in the fall for musical theatre. “I have not seen the spider and I don’t plan to.”
Paul Padua (Autolycus)
Paul has performed on Martha's Vineyard since 1987. Recent roles include Falstaff, Cardinal Richelieu, FDR, the King of Siam and Claudius in HAMLET.
Xavier Powers (Antigonus)
Xavier has performed in many Playhouse shows over the years including last summer’s production of HAMLET as Bernardo/Gravedigger/Player and 2017’s holiday production of THE SNOW QUEEN as the Hobgoblin and the Robber Mother. He is a regular company member of SHAKESPEARE FOR THE MASSES and also performs with ITW, most recently as Monsieur D’Arque in 2016’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
Molly Purves (Camillo)
Molly Purves is delighted to be back in the amphitheater especially with such good work mates. Playhouse credits include: LOVE’S LABOR’S LOST, CYMBELINE, THE CHILDREN’S HOUR and THE HOMECOMING. She is a proud member of Shakespeare for the Masses. Thanks to MJ, and Brooke for the opportunity and to Curtis and Rodeo for putting up with my absence. Dedicated to Marge and Vivian.
Katherine Reid (Assistant Director)
Katherine is a recent graduate from University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. She has grown up in the Playhouse, beginning her career here at Summer Stars Children’s Theater Camp, which she is now directing for the second year in a row. She has worn many hats during this production and at the Playhouse and wouldn’t have it any other way. She is honored to work with this talented group of artists and hopes that “you do awake your faith” for this production.
Carlotta Roberts (Mamillius, Time)
Carlotta is excited to be acting in THE WINTER’S TALE, her first Shakespeare production. Last summer she played Valentine, a singing clown doll in Island Theatre Workshop’s MARY POPPINS. Carlotta just finished her third-grade year at the West Tisbury School. She loves reading, legos, singing, karate, her dog Gloria, and climbing trees. She thanks Brooke, MJ and all the cool Winter’s Tale cast and crew for teaching her about Shakespeare and letting her be a part of the play! And thanks to mom, dad, and Tobey for believing she can do anything.
Amelia Simmons (Cleomenes)
Amelia is jazzed as heck to be in her first production at the amphitheater. She is going into her senior year at MVRHS which stands for Martha's Vineyard Regional High School. It’s the Regional High School on Martha's Vineyard. At MVRHS she was successfully converted into a Shakespeare nerd much to the dismay of her parents.
Jules Starn (Lord, Shepard's Son)
Jules is relatively tall. He is a comedian and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Sometimes he worries about spiders becoming too clever for their own good. He is 21 years old. He has a soft spot for dogs in rain jackets. This is his first performance with Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse.
Mac Young (Leontes)
Mac is a Boston-based actor and scenic designer. Born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard, he received an early apprenticeship in the arts of Shakespeare, carpentry, swashbuckling, and post-hole-digging. After continuing his studies at Bennington College, he accidentally moved to Boston, where he has since performed, built, or designed (though rarely all at once) for such Boston companies as Imaginary Beasts, Whistler in the Dark, ArtsEmerson, Huntington Theatre, Actor's Shakespeare Project, Lyric Stage, Wheelock Family Theatre, and Magnificent Bastard Productions, with whom he produces and performs a little show called Sh*t-faced Shakespeare, in Boston, Atlanta and Austin. macyoungdesign.com
