Cusi Cram (Playwright)
Cusi's plays have been produced by: Primary Stages, LAByrinth Theater Company, The Denver Center, Williamstown Theater Festival, South Coast Repertory, Atlantic Theater Company, New Georges, among others. She's written many teleplays and pilots for both kids and adults and worked as a writer on Showtime's The Big C, starring Laura Linney for several seasons. She has received three Emmy nominations for her labors in TV. She is also a member of LAByrinth Theater Company.
MJ Bruder Munafo (Director)
MJ is the Artistic and Executive Director of Martha's Vineyard Playhouse. Her work as a stage director spans over 25 years, including several world premieres: Jon Lipsky's WALKING THE VOLCANO, Arnie Reisman's NOT CONSTANTINOPLE, Edward L. Beck's SWEETENED WATER, Ronan Noone's THE SECOND GIRL and many new play readings as part of the Playhouse's MONDAY NIGHT SPECIALS. Last summer she also directed RED by John Logan. MJ is the recipient of the 2005 Creative Living Award from the Permanent Endowment Fund of Martha's Vineyard. She is a member of SDC. She and her husband Paul live in Vineyard Haven.
Victoria Adams-Zischke (Jessica)
Martha's Vineyard Playhouse - HIGH TIME (Mary Meyer) NY credits include the Off Broadway productions of THE PAGANS (Anna) and VOICES FROM THE HILL (Edith Conant) and the national tour of CHESS. Regional credits include: Repertory Theatre of St Louis, Pioneer Theatre Company, Denver Center Theatre Company, Alley Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Resident Ensemble Players, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, Ogunquit Playhouse, Cape Playhouse, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Westchester Broadway, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, among others. On television, Tori appeared on NBC's Another World as the recurring character of Babs Walker as well as numerous on camera commercials, industrials and voice overs. Tori is a member of Actor's Equity Association and SAG/AFTRA.
Charlotte Booker (Marianne)
Charlotte is delighted to return to the Playhouse, where she played Edie in the US premiere of VISITORS. NY theatre includes: both Broadway revivals of BORN YESTERDAY; Off-and Off-off- productions of LEAVE ME GREEN, TAKE ME BACK, TEN CHIMNEYS, FIVE GENOCIDES, DEATHBED, FUGUE, PSYCHO BEACH PARTY, and BITCH!, which she also wrote. Regionally: AS YOU LIKE IT (Baltimore), CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION (Cincinnati ), LADY WITH ALL THE ANSWERS (Theatreworks, Capitol Rep), STEEL MAGNOLIAS (Papermill Playhouse, Cleveland Playhouse, Alley Theatre), and leading roles at Williamstown, Denver Center, Gulfshore Playhouse, the Old Globe, and theaters all over the place. TV guest spots: THE JIM GAFFIGAN SHOW, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, LAW AND ORDER, CI, THIRD WATCH, and many more. Lately, she recurs as Maggie Chambers on POWER.
Kevin Cirone (Nathan)
Kevin is pleased to debut at the Martha's Vineyard Playhouse. Recent credits include Trigorin in STUPID F###ING BIRD (Apollinaire Theater), George Bailey in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE (Ocean State Theater), Edward Bloom in BIG FISH (Umbrella Theater), and Jason in CREATIVE LICENSE (FringeNYC). Kevin will next appear as Richard Hannay in THE 39 STEPS (Moonbox Productions). Kevin is an actor and playwright from the Boston area and would like to thank the cast and crew for the opportunity to work on this wonderful show. Zada Clarke (Karen)
This is Zada's second production with Martha's Vineyard Playhouse. She has worked with companies such as The Actors Gang, South Coast Repertory, Sacred Fools Theater and holds an Associates from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She is currently pursuing a Bachelors in Writing and Film at The New School in New York City.
Nina Moore (Lizzie Goldberg-Jones)
Nina had her first lead role in 3rd grade when she played The Gingerbread Boy in SUGAR RUSH. From age 8, she attended Summer Stars Theater Arts Camp. After a Summer Stars performance as Miranda in Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST, MJ asked her to be part of a reading of THE SHELL COLLECTION by Wendy Kesselman. Nina then performed in a reading of Wendy Kesselman's stage adaptation of A TALE OF TWO CITIES in NYC. Last summer, she appeared in the Playhouse's outdoor production of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. Other credits: the staged reading of MY MOM IS TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE, and the title role in her school's SNOW WHITE.
Kaya Seiman (Lizzie Goldberg-Jones)
Kaya is an Oak Bluffs native. For years she participated in various Martha's Vineyard Playhouse productions and attended the Summer Stars Theater Arts Camp before taking her talent to the stage in several musical productions at the Oak Bluffs School. This year, Kaya will be a freshman at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School, where she is excited to continue exploring the theatrical and musical opportunities the island has to offer. Off the stage, you can find her volunteering at the local animal shelter or scoring goals on the soccer pitch. This is her first professional theater production.
