Tom Mullins grew up in Pittsburgh. He spent his adult life in London and the Middle East working in the oil industry. His last job was at Harvard University as Associate Director of Middle East studies. Upon retirement at 78, and despite advanced Parkinson's, he fulfilled a life-long desire to paint by studying with Vineyard artist, Valentine Estabrook. Tom works in pastels and acrylics, and has shown at the Featherstone Center for the Arts and the A Gallery. This Playhouse Art Space exhibit is his first solo show.
